Vegeterian/Vegan

For over 7 years, I’ve had a dairy intolerance. It’s a bit strange because I can sometimes eat a croissant and be completely fine, but a coffee with cow’s milk can cause a very uncomfortable reaction — including difficulty breathing. Over the years, I’ve learned what works for me, which has made travelling with food restrictions much easier. Almost two years ago, I also became vegetarian — completely naturally. When I first travelled to India, I simply stopped eating meat. I remember having a moment with a cow where we just stood there, looking into each other’s eyes… and something clicked. I realised I didn’t want to eat another life anymore. So now I’m vegetarian and dairy-free, which means I often choose vegan options. But I think this is something that should always be your personal decision. You don’t need to force yourself to become vegetarian or vegan just because everyone else is doing it. Food is personal. Your choices should feel right for you.
Travelling vege shouldn't mean spending your entire trip worrying about food. Do a little research. Learn a few words. Keep a snack in your bag. You don't need to eat perfectly. You just need to stay curious.
